Re:        Reminder: All Boston Children's Hospital travel must now be booked through Egencia

In order to maximize value for our staff who travel frequently, Boston Children's Hospital is partnering with Egencia (an Expedia company) to provide a user-friendly, online self-booking tool and agent-assisted business travel service. Booking business travel through Egencia will also allow us to negotiate competitive hotel and air agreements that will improve your travel experience and drive further savings. Effective June 1, it is mandatory for all employees to book through Egencia. Please be sure to share this information with all members or your teams who travel.

Each Boston Children's employee will get a profile and book their business travel through Egencia. Employees will continue to be required to submit a travel expense reimbursement to Finance.

Egencia is a more efficient, secure way for you to select and manage your travel itineraries, which uses the same intuitive look and feel of Expedia.com with travel options and tools designed specifically for the business traveler.

Egencia will enable you to store your frequent flyer numbers and travel preferences, manage your travel from your work calendar, easily leverage unused tickets or plan a group trip with colleagues. Flight status alerts will be sent right to your mobile device, allowing you to keep on top of the latest information impacting your business travel, including flight delays and gate changes. Alerts can also be used to inform a colleague or loved one of your up-to-date arrival time.
