When applying for grants please use this guideline:

 

BCH Grant Submission Guideline

4- 6 Weeks before application due date

  • Written notice (email) to Cathleen Brown (RA)
  • Provide funding announcement (link)

 
4 Weeks before application due date

  • Schedule Meeting/Phone call
    • complete basic grant information request and email to Cathleen
    • review application components
    • assign tasks with due dates

 

3 Weeks before application due date

  • Check in/status update/revise assignments

 

2 Weeks before application due date

  • Letter from PI/ Mentor(if needed)
    • draft of letter
    • copy of abstract
    • funding announcement
  • Routing Documents for Signatures (work with Cathleen)
    • Conflict of Interest
    • Assurances
    • On-Line Cover Sheet
    • Dept. of Cardiology face page
      • working draft of proposal
      • budget

 

1 Week before application due date

  • Draft of allproposal components for OSP review
    • NO substantive changes
    • Due to OSP 5 business days prior to the due date

                       

Things to remember

No 48 hour error correction window at NIH

                        Errors will cause the application to be rejected (not accepted)

 Early submission

  • allows PI to correct errors that caused rejection
  • allows PI to review application in Commons and make changes if needed
  • allows OSP time to review your application in detail and give feedback
